Last week, the enormous medieval-themed combat simulator Chivalry 2 was introduced to the Xbox Game Pass library, and so far, the service's members have shown it to be a very popular addition. Chivalry 2 has attracted a ton of new players just four days after becoming live on Xbox Game Pass, which is fantastic news considering it's a multiplayer-only game. In the game, players can gather enough Chivalry 2 Gold.
Chivalry 2 is the follow-up to 2012's Chivalry: Medieval Warfare and is a multiplayer hack-and-slash video game created by Torn Banner Studios. In June 2021, Chivalry 2 debuts across a number of platforms and can accommodate up to 64 players each match. Cross-play compatibility is optional, and those who choose to use it will have the opportunity to interact with the new knights that Xbox Game Pass adds.
Yesterday, Chivalry 2's official Twitter account stated that, since going live on Xbox Game Pass less than a week ago, the game has gained more than 500,000 new players. Chivalry 2's current player count was not made public by Torn Banner, but it did provide information on the game's sales. According to Torn Banner, the game sold 1 million copies as of last August. The game then sold another 300,000 copies in just 10 days after being live on Steam in June 2022. Chivalry 2's PC version was formerly restricted to being an Epic Games Store exclusive for a single calendar year.
Chivalry 2's free significant content upgrade and its inclusion in Xbox Game Pass are related events. The "Enhanced Update," version 2.6 of Chivalry 2, adds the Arena map to the Team Deathmatch and Melee game modes. Additionally, it provides the Tenosian faction with fresh customization options and a brand-new special weapon called the Katars. Although practically anything can be used as a weapon in Chivalry 2, the Katars are noteworthy for being the game's first dual-wielding weaponry.
The growth of new players and the steady supply of free updates are encouraging for the entire Chivalry 2 community. For multiplayer games like this one, maintaining a game's viability is essential, and Chivalry 2 has possibly done an excellent job of that so far.
