While the Astronomia and Bugatti models are certainly some of the most eye-catching watches Jacob & Co. has produced (remember, there's some serious watchmaking behind them), there's another collection that's closely associated with the brand, but doesn't have So enthusiastic...so to speak! For Geneva Watch Day 2022, the brand’s more classic watch, the Epic X, has been revamped with new design elements, a new all-steel look and new styling. But still has the iconic and bold X design that makes this watch so striking.
Most elements of the case have done some work compared to the previous generation of watches we've seen in this article. The cheap luxury watches played a major role in creating the brand's collection, first launched in 2015 with a uniquely shaped case with lugs forming an X. It's not the most common watch, but it's full of personality.
This year, the Epic X has a slightly sleeker look with an all-steel finish. Its 44mm case has been revised with smooth lugs and a new strap that extends beyond the case circle to form a set of crown guards. Between them, the redesigned crown showcases a two-layer notched steel tip. It also features colored aluminum elements, available in vivid blues, vibrant greens, and black DLC steel Epic X in black. The most unique element is the X graphic that gives the collection its name, and it consists of a pair of lugs connected to each other by the vertical bridges of the skeletonized movement, forming a continuous shape throughout the piece. All these unique characteristics have been retained and enhanced in the new series. The once stepped bezel is now smooth and polished, with a steeper angle.Richard Mille Rafael Nadal RM 35-02
The highlight of the collection is the stainless steel model, available on a honeycomb rubber strap and a new bracelet, derived from the unique angles and curves of the case. Each link in the 5-link row is a polished, chamfered, three-dimensional sculpture with a half-octagonal profile and curved base. The dial of this new Epic X collection is also more textured, with a Clou de Paris (or Parisian hobnail) guilloche on the vertical bridges.
The sapphire crystal on top showcases most of the movement inside the Epic X, in its original vertical arrangement. The skeletonized design reveals the balance wheel at 6 o'clock and the open barrel at 12 o'clock. Most elements of the dial are matched to the case - be it steel, gold or DLC steel - and create continuity between traditional and mechanical.Replica BRM V12-46-SA Watches
Inside the new Epic X is a slightly reworked version of the hand-wound calibre JCAM45. It is regulated by a balance wheel with an adjustment screw, beating at a frequency of 4 Hz. The power reserve is 48 hours. Most technical elements are black-plated and embellished with pearls or stripes to contrast with the rest of the movement.
The new Jacob & Co. Epic X will be available in a variety of versions, with a variety of materials, colors and gem-setting interpretations. Currently, the brand offers a steel case with blue aluminum parts with a steel bracelet or black rubber strap, a rose gold case with green aluminum parts with a rose gold bracelet or black rubber strap, and a black DLC case with Rubber strap with black details.high quality copy watches
